Ted Schweitzer will race the windsurfer One Design with the OSA Race Fleet and welcomes others to join him on the original windsurfers
Ted Schweitzer has held Local, State, National and European Windsurfing Championship titles over his 30+ years in the sport of windsurfing.
One of Ted’s passions is promoting recreational windsurfing through his website “OriginalWindsurfer.com” that documents the sports beginnings and captures the story of the Original Windsurfer’s rise to the largest One Design Sailing Class in the world during the 1970s & 1980s.
Ted has recently taken his message to the next level by importing the Original Windsurfer One Design into North America to provide a Windsurfer that can be sailed in most all conditions with one sail, is fun to sail and easy to maneuver and is ideal for freestyle. Ted has been racing the Windsurfer One Design against larger sails with unbelievable success and is an advocate for One Design social gatherings to help the sport attract new and engaged sailors at the local level.
